Flame's
Team Program
Since 1985 Flame Teams have won more than 30 State Team Championships
and more than 200 Flame gymnasts have won All Around and Individual
Event State Titles. We pride ourselves on producing well trained,
well adjusted athletes utilizing the least amount of workout
time we feel is necessary to be competitive on a state and regional
level. Our team coaches have more than 80 years of combined
experience coaching competitive gymnastics.
Our team philosophy, while simple, is a result of 23 years of
competitive gymnastics experience. We strive to produce teams
that are competitive on a state and regional level and yet maintain
a training atmosphere which promotes fun and continued interest
by the athlete. Our purpose is to allow each athlete to improve
and gain skill development within his or her own comfort level
all the while striving to keep the athlete moving in an upward
direction.
Our goal is not to produce international elite athletes. However,
we are here to produce athletes who are capable of earning college
scholarships in gymnastics, cheer and academics. Since 1985
we have had eight former gymnasts earn gymnastics scholarship
offers. We have had gymnasts who went on to cheer & dance squads
at NCAA division I schools such as the University of Arkansas,
University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University and the University
of Notre Dame. But more importantly, we have had dozens of gymnasts
who went on to earn full academic scholarships at major schools
across the country. We are extremely proud of our record when
it comes to the type of student athletes we produce.
